Create a Google account
The first step to publish on the Google Play Store — have a Google account secured with two-step verification.
To publish an app on the Google Play Store you need two things: a Google account (free) and then a Google Play developer account (paid, covered in the next step). This page covers the first: having a secured Google account.

Why this account?
Your Google account is your identity with Google. It's what gives you access to the Google Play
Console, where your app is managed. For a professional project, prefer a dedicated account (for
example apps@yourdomain.com) rather than a personal one: it's easier to manage if others join you.
Create the account
Open the sign-up page
Go to accounts.google.com and follow the steps: first name, last name, desired email address, and password.
Verify your phone
Google asks for a phone number to confirm the account and secure its recovery.
Check two-step verification
Two-step verification (a code in addition to your password at sign-in) protects your account — essential since it will drive your releases.
Open account security
On myaccount.google.com/security, open the 2-Step Verification section.
Turn it on
Follow the steps to turn it on (SMS, Google app, or security key). Once active, your account shows "2-Step Verification: On".
