How it works
See the listing before the store does
A live mockup that updates as you type, for both stores.
- 01
Pick the store and theme
App Store and Google Play lay out the same metadata very differently. Toggle between both, in light or dark, to check each rendering.
- 02
Fill in your listing
Name, subtitle or short description, seller, category, price, rating, and description, plus an icon color and letter as a stand-in for your artwork.
- 03
Check both views and truncation
See the search result and the product page side by side, with live character counts. The preview clamps text where the stores do, so you catch what gets cut behind 'more'.
- 04
Iterate before you upload
Rewrite until the visible part carries the message on its own. It's much cheaper here than after a submission.
FAQ
Listing previews, answered
No, and no external mockup is: Apple and Google tweak their listing layouts continuously and render differently per device. The preview reproduces the structure, proportions, and truncation behavior, which is what your copy decisions depend on.
Both stores show only the first few lines before a 'more' link, and most visitors never tap it. If your core message isn't in that visible window, it effectively isn't on the listing.
Three things: does the name plus subtitle pair communicate the value on its own, does the first description line work as a standalone hook, and does anything important get truncated.
This tool focuses on the text hierarchy, with a colored badge and your app's first letter standing in for the icon. For pixel dimensions of the real assets, use the Icon Size Guide and Screenshot Size Calculator alongside it.
